Why Bagged Wood Shavings?

Dust Free, 100% dust screened shavings
Our shavings been rigorously screened to eliminate dust particles. This means that you and your horses will be free from respiratory irritants that otherwise originate in unscreened shavings (as commonly found in bulk blown-in or dumped shavings).

Kiln Dried
Both our spruce and pine wood shavings have been both kiln-dried and air-dried before bagging to remove all excess water that otherwise adds unnecessary weight to the bag and may attract unwanted irritants such as mold.

Absorbent
Our pine shavings are so absorbent that urine will form a solid 'cake' that can easily be forked out of stalls.

Mucking Out
Our shavings flakes are available in a variety of sizes.  We can customize your order of shavings to be any size from fine, to medium, large, or extra large.  While the majority of our customer prefer medium, we believe it is up to the individual user to choose what shavings size they work with.  Please view our sample pictures page for flake size availability, or call 1-800-838-8002 for further details.

Fluffy Pieces
We create an optimal mix of spruce and pine shavings or douglas fir shavings and separate out by our custom screener the small crunchy pieces and any debris, thus allowing for more stall comfort for your horses.

Plastic Bags
Our bags are made of durable, water-resistant, UV proof plastic, with handles for easier carrying.  Please see our sample pictures page for pictures of our product.
